Kurt Scholz, experienced printing expert from the Leipzig-based company Sparmer, comes to Stuttgart in 1918 as Regional Sales Manager for Southern Germany. His mission: to acquire new customers for Sparmer's printed products and packaging. The distance between him and his boss helps him develop fresh ideas and ambitions. A rapidly growing customer base single-handedly built up by Kurt Scholz ultimately gives him the impulse to make a change. In 1921 he establishes his own company without abandoning his loyalty to his former employer, Sparmer. As an independent agent Kurt Scholz continuously expands Sparmer's printed and packaging product range over the next few years.
