Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains (LkSG)

Main focus of LkSG is on the far-ranging protection of human rights within worldwide economy and environment as protected legal position. In the course of global supply chains risks of violations of human rights like child labor, discrimination, forced labour or missing adequate employment rights are possible.

Another legal bearing are environmental risks which significantly impair the natural bases like deforestation, harmful soil change, water pollution or air pollution. A human rights or environmental risk within the meaning of this Act is a condition in which, on the basis of factual circumstances, there is a sufficient probability that a violation of one of the prohibitions is imminent.

We take responsibilty for actions of our partners within the supply chain and take care of our due diligence obligations within the scope of LkSG:

  • analyze human rights violation risks
  • laying down preventive measures
  • establishing a complaints procedure
  • documenting and reporting

Due diligence obligations aim to prevent and/ or minimize risks or stop violation of human rights and environmental responsibilities.

Existing management system

As part of our existing management systems ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015, we have implemented EN 20400 (standard for sustainable procurement) in our business processes.

In order to comply with the duty of care from the LkSG, we have established a risk management, run a risk analysis and have setup a reporting system.

Our steps towards compliance with LkSG

We do not take accountability for our business area only, but we care for corporate responsibility throughout the whole supply chain. Implementation of due dilligence obligations is a repetitive process. We hold long term partnerships with clients and suppliers and increase transperancy of compliance with human rights and environmental interests step by step.
